Individual Award Categories

IND01 Assistant Manager of the Year
Shows exceptional management support, customer service and good communication and understands their role in assisting the manager.
IND02 Business Person of the Year (Individual)
An individual who actively supports PMAM, has integrity and excellent customer service.
IND03 Community Support Staff of the Year
Individual that supports the property team or management company.  (examples: activity coordinator, HR staff, office staff, accounting, marketing, or in-house attorney)
IND04 Executive of the Year
Executive level employee (i.e. CEO, VP, Owner, President)  that showcase their business and leadership success along with their involvement in the association.
IND05 Groundskeeper of the Year
Groundskeeper or porter that demonstrates the highest standard, pride and customer services within the community.  Why are they  the best?
IND06 Housekeeper of the Year
Must be customer service oriented, have a professional appearance and demeanor.  Nominee will be detailed in cleaning and  educated on product knowledge.
IND07 INDEPENDENT RENTAL OWNER/MANAGING AGENT UNDER 1,000 UNITS
Exemplifies the highest standards of our industry including integrity, association involvement, and customer service.  What makes  them successful?
IND08 LEASING PERSON OF THE YEAR
Should have exemplified strong skills in leasing performance, customer service, sales and beyond.  Winners in this category may be split between small and large.
IND09 LEASING TEAM OF THE YEAR
 Should have exemplified strong skills in leasing performance, customer service, sales solid performance as a team and beyond.

IND10 MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Must display professionalism and customer service demeanor.  Must have strong leadership skills and be fiscally responsible.

IND11 MAINTENANCE PERSON OF THE YEAR
Exemplifies the highest standard of customer service, technical skill and organization. Winners in this category may be split between small and large.
IND12 MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR OF THE YEAR
Directly supervises at least one other team member. Exemplifies the highest standard of customer service, technical, organizational and leadership skills.
IND13 MAINTENANCE TEAM OF THE YEAR
Exemplified the highest standards of customer service, technical and organizational skills.  Winners in this category may be split between small and large.
IND14 REGIONAL MANAGER OF THE YEAR
Showcases leadership, problem solving, mentoring and fiscal responsibility.
IND15 RISING STAR AWARD
 Nominee must have fewer than 10 years of service in the industry and  have made noteworthy contributions to their organization and the apartment industry  at large.
IND16 CERTIFIED APARTMENT MANAGER (CAM) OF THE YEAR
A person who has the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) NAA designation, who exemplifies performance in their industry, and who has contributed to the  association.
IND17 CERTIFIED APARTMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (CAMT) OF THE YEAR
A person who has the Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT) NAA designation, who exemplifies performance in their industry, and who has contributed to the  association.
IND18 CERTIFIED APARTMENT PORTFOLIO SUPERVISOR (CAPS) OF THE YEAR
A person who has the Certified Apartment Portfolio Supervisor (CAPS) NAA designation, who exemplifies performance in their industry, and who has contributed to the  association.
IND19 CERTIFIED APARTMENT SUPPLIER (CAS) OF THE YEAR
A person who has the Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS) NAA designation, who exemplifies performance in their industry, and who has contributed to the  association.
IND20 CERTIFIED APARTMENT LEASING PROFESSIONAL (CALP) OF THE YEAR
A person who has the Certified Apartment Leasing Professional (CALP) designation, who exemplifies performance in their industry, and who has contributed to the  association.

A unique feature or program that your community or neighborhood benefited from.
CY07 BEST OVERALL MARKETING
 A marketing campaign that excelled on creativity, visual appeal and produced the result intended.  Winners in this category may be split between small and large.
CY08 BUSINESS PARTNER OF THE YEAR - COMPANY
A business partner (vendor) who actively supports the multifamily housing industry.
CY09 EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION
The management company's commitment to excellence in education in the property management industry.
CY10 MANAGEMENT COMPANY OF THE YEAR
Exemplifies the highest standards of the industry through fiscal management, differentiating themselves from others, education   and development of employees, integrity, customer service and community involvement.
CY11 MODEL/MINI MODEL OF THE YEAR
Should represent a specific style or theme used for the purpose of demonstrating or selling apartments within your community.  Common areas, leasing offices and clubhouses are excluded unless the office is the model.  Winners in this category may be split between small and large.
CY12 NEW DEVELOPMENT OF THE YEAR
Is a new apartment community that was first occupied within the eligibility period.  Why is it the best, what features were included,  and how do they benefit the resident.  Explain absorption rates, architectural elements and features.
CY13 RENOVATED COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
An existing apartment community that has completed a rehab during the eligibility period with a renovation budget of $3,500/unit  or more.

CY14 BEST MAINTENANCE SHOP OF THE YEAR
A maintenance shop that exemplifies the highest standards of organization, cleanliness and ease of use.
CY15 GREEN INITIATIVE OF THE YEAR
This category is open to management companies and communities.  It recognizes an organization/community for environmentally friendly actions including but not limited to recycling programs, solar lights, composting and overall reduction of environmental impact.
CY16 CLUBHOUSE OF THE YEAR
Why is your clubhouse unique?  What sets you apart from the competition?
CY17 STAR AFFORDABLE COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
 If the property is identified with any affordable housing program it will be eligible.  Epitomizes the highest standards of the multifamily industry including physical appearance and amenities, resident satisfaction, fiscal responsibility and a solid team.
CY18 STAR SENIOR COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
 Property must be identified as a senior housing community with 80% or more senior occupancy.  Epitomizes the highest standards  of the multifamily industry including physical appearance and amenities, resident satisfaction, fiscal responsibility and a solid  team.
CY19 STAR STUDENT COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
Community must have 80% or greater student population to be considered.  Epitomizes the highest standards of the multifamily industry including physical appearance and amenities, resident satisfaction, fiscal responsibility and a solid team.
CY20 STAR COMMUNITY OF THE YEAR
Epitomizes the highest standards of the multifamily industry including physical appearance and amenities, resident satisfaction, fiscal responsibility and a solid team.
